About Me

Hello! I’m Joelitza, a Puerto Rican passionate and dynamic creative pursuing a Theatre Arts and English Writing degree at Loyola University New Orleans. As a Senior Honors student and a representative on my department’s Advisory Council, I’m dedicated to fostering collaboration and creating impactful stories through various mediums.

With a background in costume design, makeup artistry, and acting, I have a strong foundation in bringing narratives to life visually and emotionally. My work includes roles such as Hair & Makeup Designer for Spelling Bee and Costume Designer for The Mad Ones, each allowing me to delve deeply into character interpretation and design.

Currently, I’m working on my poetry collection titled Steps to Remember When Falling in Love, which explores the delicate stages of romance, vulnerability, and self-discovery. My writing often intertwines vivid imagery and emotion to create an immersive experience for readers. Whether through poetry, costume work, or performance, I aim to capture the intricacies of the human experience and make audiences feel seen.

I’m always seeking new creative challenges that push me to think outside the box and expand my skill set. If you’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a love for storytelling, and a drive to create transformative art, I’d love to connect!
